Why Is My Dryer Not Heating?

If the dryer tumbles normally but produces little or no heat, start with settings and airflow.

Check the cycle

Some cycles intentionally use little or no heat. Confirm that a heated drying cycle is selected.

Check airflow

Restricted exhaust airflow interferes with dryer performance. Inspect the lint screen, the accessible vent connection, and the exterior exhaust.

Electric or gas?

Could a breaker be involved?
